Vinyl Only Tracks - Gangster Step Remix / Original Sin VIP Remix
In 2003 D*Minds released the dancefloor killer, T-10 on the prestigious Kaos Recordings label. Having gone back in on the production 7 years later and inviting a host of other esteemed artists to join them for remixes on this project, this smasher has been reshaped and dispatched for the current musical climate we find ourselves in. The true testament of a production is its ability to stand time, and the T-10 remix project has certainly dictated that this tune will be streaming out of soundsystems for some time to come yet!
A: T-10 (D*Minds Gangster Step Remix)
Entering with emphatic fanfare accompanied by the step that dictates the vibe of this track, this is one intro that leaves you expecting something big. And what follows certainly lives up to the challenge! D*Minds have turned this tune on its head, providing the ultimate in screwface half-step badness. A bassline that drills its catchy riff into your head, glitchy hooks that will get your shoulders swinging back and forth, all complimented by those reminiscent strings and Jakes vocal stabs. This has been getting smashed by Andy C, Chase & Status and Hype to name just a few.
AA: T-10 (Original Sin VIP Remix)
Lets be honest about this, Adam Tindall (aka Original Sin) has been one of the biggest names in drum and bass of late – and so getting him on board for a remix of T-10 was an exciting prospect for the D Style Crew. And boy does he deliver! Listen out for the church organ in the intro, building up to a typically rocking drop. Streaming sirens and a masterfully-crafted bassline pick you up and usher you through this track – so driving that it’ll be over before you know it. This is a sterling effort from a producer who’s proved he’s worth his salt in the world of drum and bass – just wait for the reaction on the dancefloor.
